Food insecurity is a real problem our neighbors can face. We take both monetary and grocery donations and use them to feed the hungry in Pleasants County.
The Emergency Food Pantry is available for Pleasants County residents to use up to 4 times in a rolling 12 month period. It is open M-F from 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
Additionally, residents can visit our monthly Mountaineer Food Bank distributions, and view our resource book for more pantries in our area.
Our Neighbor Network Thrift Store not only provides our community a great place to shop for amazing deals, but also helps fund our many services and projects.
Located at 411 2nd Street, it is open M -F from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on the first Saturday of the month for "Super Saturday" (click on Up & Coming for dates).
Be sure to visit us when you're in St. Marys!
Each month, Pleasants County residents are invited to receive a box of food provided by Mountaineer Food Bank through the Feeding America program.
In 2025, distributions are held on the 2nd Friday of the month, at the St. Marys Marina building, and line-up begins around 10:15 or so. One box per vehicle (you can get back in line if there is more than 1 household represented in the vehicle). Residents can use this benefit in addition to the Emergency Food Pantry program.
Formerly the Gabriel Project, this program makes diapers, wipes, clothing, baby equipment, hygiene items and food/formula available to mothers or their proxys every 30 days. New cribs and car seats are also available for a nominal fee. Children ages birth - 3 qualify.

Under the right circumstances, Neighbor Network is equipped to help clients with utility termination notices.
Clients must have a termination notice, and must first take it to DoHS to receive a referral. Only electric, gas (or other heat) and water bills are eligible. Monetary limits apply, and assistance limited to once per household every 12 months. Recipients will be asked to complete a free, 1 time budgeting class before assistance can be rendered for a bill again.
Pleasants County Neighbor Network also assists our residents with Christmas help, Lions Club eyesight referrals, handicap ramp building, budgeting help and referrals, and other seasonal projects depending on funding.
